Once again I've come to a brick wall in my search to document and preserve disco history. The few articles that I've been able to come across mentioning Roy Thode gave me no clue at all to the man or his exsistence.
So I'll share the brief facts that I have uncovered. Through various interviews I can verify that Roy Thode committed suicide. The year of his passing is now clear. I read that it was in 1982, however when I searched the Social Security Death Records the only Roy Thode I came across was one that was born in 1942 and died in 1992, thanks to a loyal viewer we now know that he did pass in 1982.
We do know that Roy was a New York institution in the nightworld. His list of credits included the Poussez remixes of
"Come On And Do It" on Vanguard Records.
His resume included the Big Apple's most prestigious clubs, most notably
"The Ice Palace," "12 West" and "The Saint." Among his many friends were d.j.'s John Ceglia and Robbie Leslie and countless others.
I wish that I had more information to share with you. Please, anyone that knew Roy or has more information contact me so that his legacy may be preserved for future generations.

Thank you Roy for your wonderful talents....you are missed by many!
