    When chosing people to place in The DiscoMuseum I base it off of the music. Not by how easy they are to research or how well they are known. Case in point is Peter Griffin. Two club hits between 1980-1981 and then nothing. The songs were "Step By Step" which was originally released on Electrola Records out of Germany. So one might surmise that Peter is from Germany. The song gained popularity as an import and the fledgling Moby Dick Records picked it up for U.S. release, issuing a stunning remixed version.
     The following year Electrola issued "Inside Out" another uptempo number with catchy hook-filled lyrics. No American company opted to license it, yet it still received good club exposure. Then Peter disappeared. I put this page here in the hopes that someone out there will write us with more information on Peter and his whereabouts.
UPDATE NOVEMBER 2006 FROM A VISITOR: First of all I would like to thank you for the great site. A lot of very interesting info from the old times, when Disco was #1. I have some additional info about Peter Griffin. Peter was owner of a german disco called Griffin´s in the city of Baden-Baden. In 1979 he released "Spiderman" as his first single. Shortly thereafter the extremly danceable 12-inch-version was released and the song turned to a major club hit in this year. "Spiderman" was surely Peters best song but I never saw this track on the german airplay charts. I think Peter's club went out of business in the early eighties.
