Len Boone
Despite having written several successful songs, one that even hit BillBoard's Top Ten, and scoring his own solo success little is known about Leonard Coleman Boone.
Those that do recognize his name remember it from his 1978 Chrysalis 12" single
"Love Won't Be Denied." The song was a club smash and remains one of my all-time favorites. A second 12" single for the label was "There's No Me Without You," a pleasant duet with Holly Sherwood that boasted a John Luongo remix.
Boone first came to attention in 1977 when he penned
"You Made Me Believe In Magic" for the Bay City Rollers. He has also penned hits for Change ("This Is Your Time" and "Magical Night"), "Lay Back In The Groove" for Limon Wilson and Elusion and even a disco hit, "You're The One," for labelmate Rory Block.
By all accounts Boone is alive and still writing, anyone that has more information on him or his music please contact us so that we can preserve his legacy.
