| Men with makeup on was nothing new to the disco world. Drag queens have been lipsyncing since before disco was around. However grown straight men with frightening make up on was novel on both rock and disco fronts. KISS along with our Queen Donna literally built Casablanca Records into an empire. By 1979 Donna was doing rock with "Hot Stuff" and KISS was doing disco with their 12" single of "I Was Made For Loving You." There one off disco foray was just as classic as any of there monster rock hits. Thankfully they, and Donna, stayed in there genres. They are still around and just as popular as ever. |
