| One of the greatest natural talents that has graced the latter half of the century. Marlena Shaw is many things to many people. To some she is a jazz purist, others deem her a sassy R&B vocalist while others view her as a disco diva. In fact she is all those things and so much more. A gifted singer with a natural flair for phrasing and nuance she can tackle anything. It's evident in her diverse catalogue of recordings. In all genres of music she has left her unique stamp. Here we celebrate her distinct disco recordings. I am proud to know her and honored to chat with her. She is more than just a phenomenal singer she is a great human being. And that is not something that can be said about many of her contemporarys. A real class act and a real classy person.....we are privileged to honor her here! |
