Hall Of Fame Inductee July 2002
Atlantic/Atco
Records
Atlantic Records began in the 1950's. Always a pioneer label, they brought "race" music to the masses, always ready to experiment. When disco music came along they were one of the first major labels to embace it and exploit it. Their famous 12" singles are still highly sought after. Their place was cemented in the "Hall Of Fame" with the first 12" single they released.
