Dolly Parton
It's difficult to find a country performer who has moved from country roots to international fame more successfully than Dolly Parton. The lovable Dolly has always had a large gay following, that following helped to propell her disco efforts into hits. Who can forget 1978's pink vinyl 12" of "Baby I'm Burnin'" and "I Wanna Fall In Love"? Or the pair of 1983 hits "Potential New Boyfriend" and "Islands In The Stream" or her disco remake of "Save The Last Dance For Me" in 1984. Her last club hit was 1996's "Peace Train" complete with a gospel choir. The larger than life Dolly is still kicking it in the new millenium and will probably have another club hit before all is said and done....we love Dolly!
