One of the first entertainers I ever had the pleasure of working with was Angela Clemmons. When she came to Chicago she was a young talent just beginning to hit the charts with her first hit "Give Me Just A Little More Time."
She was not only talented, but a genuinely sweet person to work with. After including her in my Artist tributes page she contacted me to thank me and to inquire about when we had met and worked together. We exchanged e-mails and I asked to include her in my new wing, the where are they now section. Below is her response to my questions, as you can tell she is still just as sweet and down to earth as she was over 20 years ago. I Thank her for allowing me to share with all of you her current activities and for again being so gracious....our best to Angela.
Hey Danny Boy,

Well I didn't intend for it to take this long to respond, but such is my life these days.  Being a working, divorced mom of two is a bit hectic.  Fortunately, I love my work and adore my children. . .and even LIKE my children!  :-)  (Not every parent can say that.)  Kristian and Alexa are both bright, good-hearted, FUNNY kids.  We laugh a lot around here.  As for work, yes, I continue to sing.  I had a good, over 20-year, run doing radio and TV jingles in NYC.  I also did backgrounds for a lot of other artists (Celine Dion, Aretha Franklin, George Benson, Michael Jackson, Jocelyn Brown, etc.) and really cherished my time as a background singer for Gregory Hines' live concerts.  I still have trouble accepting that he's no longer here.  The Spring before he passed away, we were performing in Hawaii.  :-(

I am not doing as much singing now as before, however.  Work REALLY slowed down after the Screen Actors Guild strike.  It just never picked up again for me.  That was also around the time that I was getting divorced, so I decided I'd better re-think the next phase of my life.  And now, here I am selling real estate on the CT shoreline and loving it!  It's a great match for me because it allows me the flexibility to continue singing, I'm getting to know all different kinds of people, I'm learning a tremendous amount of new "stuff" and I get to look in other people's houses!  It's great!  :-)  So feel free to let your readers know that if they're thinking about moving, they should contact me.  Even if they're in a different state, I can help by referring them to an agent that's best for them in their area.

And speaking of real estate, I'd better get to the office.  I actually feel AWFUL . . .bad cold. . .but I've got a couple of things that have to be done today, so off I go.  And you Dan?  What are you up to these days?  Are you still in Chicago?

Take care, dude.  And thanks again for your kind words and for getting back to me to tell me who you are!

Smooches!  :-)
